Gloria-A GTG in Chicago would be great...before Lord and Taylor's ends up Macy's! Ha...Ha...Ha...Happy Travels!

Lyndie-"poor OLD Gpanda"? I'm stricken. While youth is but a distant memory, I choose to think of myself as middle-age. Bob on the other hand is definitely OLD.

Some of you might enjoy dining at the Elephant Walk restaurant on Beacon Street, which is one of my favorites, while you are there. It has wonderful, authentic Cambodian/French cuisine.

gpanda
I don't know if my message to you ever showed up here, or if it was one of many that got "lost In cyberspace" rather than "found" here on the forum!! ARRRGGHHH Anyway, the good folks at the cigar shop at Gaysorn said that they remember you!!! Carol |
carol---don't humor him...he is impossible already...and yes i am old and he forgot to add FAT....
carol...remember to bring straw to feed to gpanda in his cage...or maybe we will just feed him the leech socks...or stuff them in his mouth to keep him quiet... |
Yes, Eric did tell me I was crazy and he did not buy a pair (though he did by the waterproof socks but he can wear them shovelling snow). I bought a pair in Sandakan but they were cheap.
Do I need to wash them before we stuff them into Gpanda's mouth? |
better if they are dirty...he will appreciate it more...he is from cambridge and they never wash anything or shave their legs either...

Did you see the feature on Salem on the fodor's home page?

It's a well-known fact that Pandas are loaded with Socks appeal. Typical banker. He doesn't know that straw is used for bedding and Hay is what is properly fed to Pandas. This may explain some of his restaurant recommendations.

Tanuki-just looked at the site. It's the normal ridiculous tourist kitsch. Salem is the worst tought out tourist destination I have ever seen. I work there. It's beautiful, but there is no there there. The several ridiculous "museums" cater to the witch nonsense. the "Shoppes" have low rent occult items. There is no good place to stroll. This is managed by the town "fathers" even though the harbor is scenic, the Peabody essex Museum is first rate, there are two historic districts and the town has an international reputation. It's staggering how mismanaged it is. Every day, I see befuddled tourists wandering the streets. I know they're trying to get a sense of the central sights, but there is little help. American Ingenuity at its worst.

I wanted to top this for MHRS. Maybe she will decide to join us!
