I can say with utmost certainty that those upper deck lie flat beds are MUCH better than the 'old' style biz seats on the 777 that I took to SFO from NRT. I did not get much sleep at all.

Craig... As to why SFO, it had to do with the price of the ticket. It was cheaper, by several hundred $$$, to go thru SFO rather than taking 882 all the way to ORD. 882 was full full full, by the way, so there was no way I could have changed my ticket at the last minute to avoid the long way home. The NRT-SFO flt was not full, but SFO-ORD was packed.

I bought a couple of bottles of nice merlot NAPA wines at SFO, plus some Sees candy, so that stopover wasn't a total loss... haha

Hanuman, I also find it strange that once my flt took off, the red shirts opted to go home! Oh well, I'll get to the big malls next trip. (I like that middle name you gave me)
