Hmm.... a venue for a Fodors GTG!! The Royal Bangkok Sport Club is a nice place for a drink and I'm sure most, if not all, of you guys have not been to.

that sounds interesting....is it open to the public or would we need an invitation from the king or from you--merely a prince??

It's ok as long as there is a member with the group. It's right across the street from the Four Seasons, the one with the golf course, horse race track, tennis court etc. Huge ground, very low prices for the drinks(perks for the members!), good food and nice facilities perfect for an afternoon.

A friend of mine who is a retired Thai Senator took me there.

Do you think it's a good place for a GTG Brad? The Veranda terrace and the Air Bar should be good but that's just my opinion.

The Bangkok Sports Club would be a great place, if you can get us in. A GTG would probably be most Fodorites only opportunity to get to go there.

OK, WE HAVE A LOCATION, DATE AND TIME....

Hanuman has graciously invited our small group to be his guests at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club for our mini-GTG

we have choosen Saturday May 3, 2008 at 3PM for the GTG....

there will be no meal, but we will join in travel chat and share a drink or two...

for entrance to the club, which is private, i will need each person's name who wishes to attend...

what's the problem with flying in for a drink....you can sleep in our closet for the nite and then fly back the next morning....

wouldn't be the first time I've slept in a closet......only the first time conscientiously
