Treehotel
Trendsetter

Childhood treehouse adventures are all grown up at this stylish Swedish hideaway where wood, glass, and aluminum cubes are literally elevated into the trees of the Lule River Valley. Five "cabins" offer not only a variety of settings—rooms are uniquely laid out and constructed of local materials—but also different vantage points, with each floating above the forest floor at various heights. Wooden platforms and suspended bridges connect the sleek cubes to the main lodge, a mod space for meals and gathering. A spacious, traditional wooden sauna rounds out the striking collection of buildings. For its stunning design, nearly nonexistent footprint, and pioneering eco-practices, we're willing to head (practically) to the end of the earth for this property.
