Just behind this corner was the villa's spiraling metal staircase. It took you up to a level roadway into town that was closed due to nearby street renos. On the other side of town known as S. Giorgio, visitors took the elevator by Bar Zanzibar. That lift helped reduce the amount of taxing 'long-way-around' walks and connected folks with the aforementioned Marina Grande aka Spiaggi delle Sirene (mermaid/siren beach).
