Our rental was Casa Galee (galley) aka Villa Alpido. It was a unique family cottage seen only in the far distance above, where buildings mark the margin. Owner Pierluigi arranged for his sister Alesandra and her elderly pal Paulo to meet us upon arrival. The waterside location was at the far eastern edge of Chianalea, so noise was not a concern. Far niente. Only lapping waves. And a million silver stars.
