Notre Dame candles - Christmas 2016 and 2024 The first candles I had ever lit - in honor of my parents who died 5 months apart. Now I do it on every trip. I love the new tradition for me, but do wonder if centuries of collective soot were the reason Notre Dame was SO dark inside.
