Next up: Santa Maria del Gesu, which partially survived the 1693 earthquake and is a prime example of 15th century architecture, with a notable cloister. It was unclear from our reading whether it was open or not. Of course, after climbing to the very top of town, we found that it is indeed (at least temporarily) closed.
