There was a zoom call last week between the park superintendent and local tour operators that contained a lot of interesting information. After the southern loop has reopened, the next priority is to reopen Norris to Mammoth to Tower to Canyon creating partial access to the north. The third priority will be Tower to Lamar Valley though they need to assess where they can turn cars around as the road is washed out in the northeast area around Soda Butte past Lamar Valley. The other major damage is the road between Gardiner and Mammoth. Instead of rebuilding that road an entirely new road in a different location will be constructed https://trib.com/yellowstone-nationa...d1bb3cf0c.html (I'm doubtful about summer but who knows?)
Bison can be found in various areas of the park and I've seen wolves and grizzlies in Hayden Valley (between Canyon and Lake). Another area I've seen grizzlies is on the road heading east from Lake toward the east entrance. So there's still some good wildlife viewing in the southern half of the park.
