I am thrilled when I go to the movies in the mountains - 2 adult tix, a medium coke and a large Coke to share - with change back from a $20. I thought THAT was doing good! :-)

Actually there were two movie theaters in the town I grew up in. One charged 15¢ and the other 18¢. If you had been very good or if your parents wanted to get rid of you for the entire day they would give you all of 50¢. With that you could go to both and watch both double features twice. All you had to do was get home by dark.
