If the Pax Humana were issued in and there was no more war, no more suffering...and all of mankind lived in Peace without fear....

...I still WOULD NOT go to WDW.

However...why worry? LIve your life the best you can..the chance of a terrorist incident is small

Disney World and Disney Land are my personal hells. The only place worse is a Disney Cruise.

Anyone read Dave Barry's column in yesterday's paper about WDW? Too funny!

I would be more worried about the commando style parents who storm the park than terrorists.

Lucienne78,I was thinking about going to Walt Disney World the first week in May also and was wondering if the crowds are light at that time?....

I don't think crowds are ever light at WDW -- unless its a cold rainy day. Of course they reach ridiculous crowdedness around holidays. We were there one Easter vacation....stupid, stupid, stupid...but it was free so we figured we'd go for it. Actually we have some very cool pictures of our son standing on a bench someplace looking over a mob of thousands of people.

I've been to Disney plenty of times when the crowds were thin. Begining of November, all of September, first part of December and non holiday weeks or weekends.

I took a group of students to EPCOT recently. There were few crowds (it was a Friday) and they searched our bags. As others have said, the air space is restricted so that is a comfort. Go, enjoy.

SandyFeet,Just booked a trip to WDW April 29th till May 2nd.Our first trip and I can't wait!! We will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort...

We are going to WDW end of June through 4th of July and have absolutely no qualms about it. We were in Las Vegas last week and were surprised that the hotel (Ballys) had NO security at the elevators, but nevertheless, felt very safe.

We're going May 5 - 8. Wilderness Lodge. Woo Hoo!

We just returned yesterday from a short three day trip and had a wonderful time. Once we arrived, security was never really a thought. As mentioned, all bags are checked upon entry to the parks, and security is walking constantly. Dont hesitate, have a great time, we hope to go back for a longer stay in a handful of months!

I just booked my trip to WDW for Mother's Day weekend with mom. Everyone should go if planning to go! I went in December 02 and they do have extra security (bag searches).
Great flight prices from Cleveland! Just booked and am going in two and a half weeks! Everyone enjoy! Us two "Big Kids" will! (ages 59 and 35!) Leaving the husband at home!
