Hi Wendy -

If you don't mind my 2 cents, I've stayed at the Doubletree Reid Park. It has it's good and bad points.

Plusses - pretty central courtyard which looks like the biggest patch of green grass in Tucson, plus dozens of orange trees! Nice pool, also buffet breakfast was included and pretty good, with lots of variety. Easy drive to airport; located across the street from Reid Park (but access is nearly impossible by foot - the street is busy, there is an imposing, unbroken fence, and the gate to the park is not on the hotel side but on the south side.)

Minuses - 70's era hotel room, very few windows, Holiday Inn decor. Long walk from desk to some of the rooms, also the back alley area was shared by condominiums and their service vehicles. Service at the hotel was spotty - my phone didn't work and I was not getting any calls. After I figured this out, the repair took about 30 seconds - but I had to wait until the following morning and it was a great inconvenience.
