Where to stay in Palm Springs?

Going to Palm Springs July 2001. Can anyone recommend a hotel or Bed and Breakfast? We are considering The Westin - Mission Hills. has anyone been there?

You do know, don't you that the AVERAGE high temperature for July is 106 degrees?

I don't know what your price range is, but we always stay at the Korakia Bed and Breakfast. It's a Moroccan villa that has been restored with a great deal of care. There is a pool, outdoor fireplace, and a lovely patio for breakfast. Some of the rooms ( I think there are about ten) have their own patios with a tile table and straw chairs. It <BR>feels like you are in a different world there and it's only a block or so off the the main boulevard. I think they might close for part or all of the summer, but if not, it's great. (least expensive room is about $131 peak season)

Call Infomation for Entertainment Publications and buy ($35) the Entertainment Book for the PS area then get 50% off at our favorite hotel - The Stouffer/Renaissance Esmeralda resort in Indian Wells. This place is a vacationers dream and lucky for you July is low season and so you should definitely be able to get a deal.

We really enjoyed La Quinta (not the chain). It was so beautiful. Each bungalow was private and had a patio. Food was incredible. golf nearby if you are into that.It was a little piece of history.

My husband and I highly recommend the La Quinta Resort & Club. It's not the chain you're thinking of. It's named after the city it's located in. The resort grounds had beautiful flowers everywhere and the rooms were equally beautiful. We had a private villa with two balconies and a small lap pool overlooking the Santa Rosa Mountains. The restaurants have excellent food, you won't be disappointed. There's alot more I can say about this place but there's no room left. Good luck and let me know what you decide.

The Marriot resort in Palm Desert is the nicest place in the area. However I would seriously reconsider visiting Palm Springs in July unless you like being roasted in an oven.
