February: Kingston, NY for skiing for 3 days (rained all weekend!!)

July: Miami, FL for 4 days

August: Boston for 3 days

November: Washington, DC for 4 days

December: Poconos, PA for 3 days

This year the longer trips are planned! (11 days each!)

My wife and I love to travel, but we both work. So, I found it interesting that we did all of this in 2003:

Freeport
Bermuda
New Orleans
Charleston
San Antonio

These were 2nd-3rd times to these destinations.

Your travels made for interesting reading...one question .... why didn't we see any of you in kansas??

Please tell me what I would see in Kansas. I am really not familiar with this state and I am always looking for someplace different to travel to. Please tempt me to visit.

From Murrieta, California:

March - spent a timeshare week in Scottdale, AZ. Went for baseball's spring training.

April-May - flew to Kansas City to visit new grandson. Spent a timeshare week in Branson, MO.

July-Aug - Drove through California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois on our way to Indiana to visit our son.

September - went to Sedona, AZ and Las Vegas. Spent a timeshare week at each place.

Oct-Nov - Flew to West Lafayette, Indiana to visit grandson.

December = Spent 3 nights in Laughlin, NV and 4 nights in Las Vegas for some fun.

May: London and Italy for 2 weeks
June: Chatham, Cape Cod for a week
Early Sept: Go home to visit family in NJ & visit family in So Jersey, go to Atlantic City
September: London for 10 days
November: Orlando and St. Augustine
Dec: Oahu
Christmas in Las Vegas & several times per year, have relatives & live near by

Forgot about hubby's meeting in Chicago and having to travel to Palm Springs for mouth surgery-now that was painful :((

New York City a few times, Florida (St. Pete, Orlando, and a wee bit south of Daytona), Atlanta, Charlotte, Nags Head/Kitty Hawk, New Orleans, Peru, Argentina, Mexico (twice) and Brazil.

first time in I don't remember how many years I didn't cross the Atlantic though.

So far this year Nags Head, and planning a trip to San Francisco, also Oshkosh WI for the huge EAA airshow (a fly in, and I should have my ticket by then). I was thinking of a trip to New Zealand with a friend but that may wait until next winter - way too much going on on the home front & currently there's no way I can take 2-3 weeks off work. dunno about the rest of the year, I'll play it by ear. Would like to visit some friends in Germany while they still live there... (peep!)

april - four corners tour (albuquerque, petrified forest nat. park, canyon de chelley, monument valley, mesa verde, chaco canyon, santa fe)

october - glenn, michigan (near south haven) for business

november - france (burgundy & paris)

February - girls weekend at Grand Lake in Grove, Okla. Stayed in PJ's watched lots of movies and had a masseuse come in to give us all full body massages!

March - Spring Break in Destin, FL with our teenage daughter, her friend and another family

May - Memorial Day Weekend in Minneapolis to visit older daughter

August - Vail/Beaver Creek for annual summer week.

Sept - Birmingham-Tuscaloosa for football weekend with day trip over to Atlanta to have lunch with Mom!

Here's where I've been last year:

Every week drove from Rochester NY to Detroit and back for work.

May - Weekend in NYC to hear my kid play at Lincoln Center.

July - Went alone to the Adirondacks with the kids for a week because spouse had to work.

Not the best year I guess...Oh well, better luck this year perhaps.
