Where could you vacation each year if you could afford it?
Just wondering where you could vacation each year if you could afford too? My spot naturally would be Hawaii. Wish the airfare wouldn't be so darn expensive!! I could go there every year.
|
I would go somewhere in the western US every year. We do this, but I'd like to do it more often. The list of things we like to do are out west is very long: hike in the Grand Canyon and SW canyon country; hike in the mountains and along the ocean in the Pacific Northwest. Then there's some of our favorite cities: Portland, OR and Seattle, or small towns: Ouray, CO, Crested Butte, CO. In the winter we could ski Colorado and Utah.
We have often considered a move out west just to be closer to all these wonderful places (and Hawaii). But our family and friends are all here back east, our sons have friends out here, etc. While many people want to retire down south to Florida, we're heading west! |
Belize.

I'd take Abercrombie and Kent vacations all over the world continually and live abroad several months a year:)
|
We'd go to a different spot every year--there are so many places we want to see!
|
Hmmm, let's see:
1. Kauai 2. Kauai 3. Kauai... |
January vacation at a Club Med or other club, maybe Jamaica February vacation in Brazil April vacation in Japan May and June vacation in So. California July vacation in West Virginia August vacation alternating between Del Mar and Saratoga September vacation in Tahiti October vacation in Germany November vacation in Australia December vacation in Argentina & Uruguay |
So many places, but for SURE the UK.
|
Since I'm from the east coast, I would love to go on a ski vacation out west every year.
|
Italy, without a doubt!
|
Alaska
Alaska Alaska and then Alaska again |
MAUI, MAUI, MAUI, MAUI!!!
|
Europe and various islands in the Pacific.
|
South Africa-- very long flight, but it's amazing to be on that continent. Especially miss Pretoria, Capetown and Stellenbosch(wine country). I have many relatives there who settled in the early 1900's.
|
Switzerland and Thailand!
|
I would travel non-stop everywhere that English was spoken.
|
Knowing, if you're not even going to stop, what difference does it make which language they speak? :)
|
Personally, anywhere and everywhere. I'd rather venture to new places I haven't visited already, but one of my favorites thusfar that I'd LOVE to return to is the west coast of Vancouver Island!
|
Maggi, Wouldn't you get bored returning to Kauai year after year.
I sure as heck know I would! :^o:^o:^o:^o:^o:^o:^o:^o:^o:^o:^o:^o |
I'm with Kal on this one. There is nothing remotely interesting in Kauai that would require a second thought or visit. Boring! Who would want to hang in Hanalei slumming with the locals every year, when they could go to Disney instead?
|
Zihuatanejo, Mexico -- specifically, a private pool suite at La Casa Que Canta. I can afford to get to Zihua once a year, but no way can I afford that suite . . . but boy, would that be nice . . . sigh. :)
But hey! I consider myself lucky to be able to get back there once a year at all! |
So many choices :)!
1. Europe - just about every country! 2. Mexico - Puerto Vallarta, the Mex. Carribbean, and many other towns I haven't been to yet! 3. Places I've never been: The South Pacific, The Seychelle Islands, New Zealand & Costa Rica!!! Oh, wish I had lots of money!! :) |
Provence.

I'm w/Abram...
So, I'd be on the ResidenSea combining my love of sea w/ foreign soil exploration. I would definitely need a benefactor to pull this off though. Hmmmm. |
This is harder than I thought. I've drafted 3 lists and had to delete - keep wanting to add more and more. NYC, Rome, Paris, Tuscany, Kauai, Arizona, Ireland, Maine, Disney World, New Orleans... the list is just too long. I want it all. Where oh where is my winning lottery ticket???

Fiji Island
Tahiti Italy (tuscany) Switzerland Australia Paris Radisson Seven Seas Cruise (14 days) |
Canadian Rockies in the summer.
|
Antigua Guatemala. And I do!
|
Aspen for a month during the summer. last year we stayed for a few days at the Ritz Carlton at Aspen Highlands. We were ble to get a deal because we knew a fractional owner of a unit. This was an amazing condo which made a great trip better. aspen is expensive but a wonderful place to relax.

I don't think I'm the type yet to go back to the same place every year. It's a big world. But we go back to Australia every other year, and go someplace else in between. Ireland is also a favorite. US favs for me are Colorado, S. Utah and Vermont. |
