Budman-Sorry, I knew it was wine. For a very small second there I had you confused with Kal. Sorry about that!! (No offense Kal).

No apologies needed. Kal's a wine-O also. ((a))

BTW, gas has just dropped to $1.83 tonight. ((b))

We're hosting.
If we didn't host, we would travel 117 miles to our other home for just the 4 of us. Gas, I believe, is $2.83 today.

Are there follow-up threads planned? Here are our suggested title/questions:
How much is electricity?
How much is heating oil?
How much are you willing to put up with?

We are traveling from Long Island, NY to my fiance's family in NH for Thanksgiving. Strange to know this is the last set of holidays I will be "single".

Gas here when I filled up last night is $2.35 which is about the price it was before all the hiking up began!!!

"Heating oil" Pee-Pee. Isn't that a tad bit 70's? :-D

So, how was everyone's Thanksgiving Day dinner ~:> ?

Needless to say, I knew mine was in big trouble when mom-in-law opened up the oven, and pop-in-law got out the meat thermometer. Sitting in the den watching the football game, I could overhear him saying: "170, 180, 190...." ((a))

Brother-in-law attempted to carve said turkey with an electric knife. He couldn't do any more damage to the poor thing. There wasn't enough gravy to bring it back to life. :D

That's the good news. Now for the bad news -- I had to endure all this torture without a drop of alcohol to numb the pain. They were predicting snow and freezing temperatures, and I had to drive home from the mountains. I wasn't going to spend the night. ((b))

Budman. :D

Ours was great. Although we both had to work, we had a lovely traditional dinner under the stars at a restaurant on the beach last night. We also had plenty of wine and an after dinner Grand Mariner for you, Budman. ;)

Only bad thing about that is that we have no leftovers for dinner tonight! I LOVE turkey day leftovers.
