OK I changed my mind. I already have my tickets to Paris, so what I really need is a trip to Vegas.

Hey Statia!

I missed this last night. I went to bed too early. Still recovering from a week of house guests.

I've lightened up with VO and Sprite this evening.

I'm dreaming of my trip to the Normandy beaches of France in September. Still looking for that perfect hotel in Bayeux.

Have you guys read the post BayouGal just posted about her fellow passenger, a bad farter, on the thread about the kid kicking the airplane seats? Wickedly funny!

At 2am this morning (does that still count as Friday night?), I bit the bullet and bought (expensive) tickets to Italy for October. Guess we'll be staying in convents and small hotels to make up for the high transportation costs.

OldSouthernBell sounds like a great time! Girls night out and some wine! I'm thinking of taking Salsa lessons with the hubby. Have you taken them before?

SpeedBuggy Jul 29th, 2006 04:04 PM

Seeu, salsa lessons sounds like fun. We have an exercise video that has salsa steps that the wife always wants to me to do with her. Maybe I should give it a try one day.

BTW, Seeu, since you are a newbie, be sure to add your post to the Fodorite newbie thread. Hopefully, that funny Jetset girl will be online soon! There are some hilarious characters on this travel forum. Sure makes doing research and trying to help others a lot of fun!

JJ5~=D> Come on up.. I am one of those types that plans all the activities and offers a running calorie count, as in, "hey girls, today, by my pedometer calculations and tingly numbness in my glutes, we've earned a Margarita and the artichoke dip and we can even share a couple desserts".

((*))Speedbuggy, my fan from afar~ hmm, after the bathroom humor of my new pal BayouGal, I'm glad her and I are taking separate flights to Hawaii, or else we'd be having those fits of hysteria every time a passenger made any sort of unsavory body noise...
I'm afraid my smelling sense is so acute, I would need a Little Michael oxygen mask to make it through the five hours..
I just returned from an outting with my dh and younger son, and foolishly allowed them to snack on some new jerky made from pork "products"..=-O
Will I be having a beverage tonight? Most definitely. Will I be able to type? We shall see...:S-

OldSouthernBelle Jul 29th, 2006 05:53 PM

SEUATC: No, I've never taken them...my DH has been resistant, but the friend whose house we gtg'd at use to be a dance teacher. She showed me the basic step ~ after a couple glasses of wine!;)

SpeedBuggy: You'll make BIG points with the wife if you go, and even MORE if you initiate it! So go ahead and set it up or ask her to.

SEEUATC Jul 29th, 2006 06:20 PM

Thanks SpeedBuggy. Even better than the video ... sign up for a Salsa lesson for you and your wife! Really doesn't take much to make us happy!

Okay, ladies, you talked me into it. Actually, it didn't take much talking, I was well on my way anyway. Just needed more time off and less overtime.
