Franconia Ridge Trail in the White Mtns. But then, I haven't done any real hiking out west.

The Bond Cliff Trail in the White Mtns of NH is fantastic but must agree with msackton in that the Franconia Ridge Trail is also great.

Owl's Head near Lake Placid. A very short trail with incredible views.

I live in Oregon and I have a lot of favorite trails - but maybe the Most favorite is Iron Mountain/Cone Peak-
over 300 varieties of wild flowers grow there - the meadows are like Monets paintings with beautiful colors all blended together. When you reach the top of Iron Mountain there is a look out center with views of snowcapped mountains.
Was just there a couple of weeks ago and the flowers were spectacular.

Our favorite all time trail is the Nu'alolo/Cliffs/Awa'awapuhi Loop Trail on Kauai, especially the view from Lolo Vista--down into the Nu'alolo Valley and out across the NaPali coast---one of our most spectacular days.

Then there's the Canadian Rockies---hard to just pick one trail there--wonderful day hiking.

Where is the Lake McDonald trail in Yoho?
I know Oesa, Opabin, McArthur, Linda Lakes, Schaeffer Lake, and O'Hara itself, but were is Lake McDonald?

Does the trail originate near the Lodge or La Relais or the campground?

The Narrows, Zion NP

Avalanche Lake, Glacier NP

Trail to Supai and Havasu Falls, Grand Canyon

Eagle Creek Trail, Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Trail from Glacier Point in Yosemite down to the Valley floor passing Nevada and Vernal Falls (forget the name)

karens, you mean the Panorama Trail (in Yosemite).

My favorite is the James Irvine Trail in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Four miles through the redwoods to Fern Canyon and the ocean, with elk.

In the east, it's the Glens loop at Ricketts Glen State Park, Pennsylvania.
