I am hungry, bored and homesick!

I have found the Burgervilles in the PNW to satisfy my burger/fries cravings when we travel to the area.

I have yet to find any really good Japanese food on the Oregon Coast, so the first thing I want when we return to CA is some california rolls and steamed goyza with some chicken teriyaki and tempura veggies! ***kim*** ((l))

When I come home I am usually so tired, I crave peace and quiet, and of course my bed for long rest!

When I came home from London, I craved southern ice tea, real Mexican food (made the mistake of eating at the Texas Embassy in London), and a real hamburger. I went to college in Louisiana, so every year in the spring, I crave crawfish and boiled potatoes. One other thing I now crave, but can't get where I live, is a French-toast bagel from Bagels on the Square in NYC--had them nearly every day when I stayed in NYC this past summer. SO YUMMY!

I'm from Connecticut and live in CA:

Grinders - the New England version of a sub sandwich, but the roll is different. Especially and "Italian Grinder".

Lobsters/clams/scallops from roadside shacks.

Dunkin' Donuts!!!

Butter 'n' Sugar Corn on the Cob

Corn Chowder

Butt kickin' garlic-y Italian food from Little Italy.

Shoe String French Fries with brown gravy.

Usually a shower, and my bed. As for food, after eating some of the best food in the world in Europe, all I want is Taco Bell.

I always miss Tropicana Orange Juice. I don't mind the difference, but I really love coming home to a large glass of "necture of the Gods."

Soul food.

Fried chicken, collards, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, and butter beans.

Or substitute meat loaf for Fried Chicken.

A glass of cold milk and my own bed.

Even when I've been away from the Philly region for only a few days, the first thing I eat when I get back is a REAL cheese steak. But I have NEVER wanted any scrapple when I returned home!

seetheworld Oct 7th, 2005 04:45 PM

A bowl of cereal with milk.

Worktowander Oct 9th, 2005 02:28 AM

Popcorn, made old-style in a saucepan, covered in melted butter. With a tall glass of ice-cold milk.

English fish and chips with mushy peas and fresh sliced bread with English creamy butter. Yummy!
