Wacko Board
 

Although I emailed Fodor's regarding the problems with their Board it is worse than ever.

For example I posted on Tiff's Happy Birthday thread that OWJ started. I posted last night at 9:38pm.

Today I looked at the thread and my post is not there!! But it was there last night, I double checked due to all the posting problems.

Soooo, I clicked on the Post My Reply to try again to wish dear Tiff a late Happy Birthday wish. When I clicked on the Post My Reply all the posts for Tiff's thread were on the right side of my screen. And there was my post from last night!!

But when you click on the thread from the left hand side of the screen my post of last night does not show up.

How crazy is that? And dearest Tiff, I got home late yesterday but I so do hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!

Maybe because you aren't posting anything that has anything to do with travel? ((a))

Budman, if they figured out a way to tell if the post is travel-related or not before it gets posted, I want to invest in that technology. It could fund my retirement travels!

BTW, I just emailed Fodor's again and I asked them to advise what they are doing to solve all the glitches their boards have been having for way to long.

Naw, this happened to me once too- I think it's just a glitch, since mine was related to travel. The gremlins must think some posts are crunchy!

Let me tell you guys, this glitch is non-descriminatory, whether I'm trying to post travel or non-travel related (3rd attempt on this one!)

Looks like the board is fixed. No longer do I have problem to post. Is this a good or a bad thing :)

It was annoying this am, Love, I tried to post something then had no time to re-post..and it was about travel LOL

I thought <i>Wacko Board</i> might mean there is a new board for all the Wackos to go post on :D

LoveItaly, I can beat that one . . . I have been on Fodor's on and off all day. It's 6:48 CST, and this whole thread, Wacko Board, just showed up on my computer. I was quite surprised to see the time you started it and realize that it had been on Fodor's all afternoon. Now does that take the cake, or what?!?!

I thought Wacko Board was referring to Portland/OR Coast threads:D Made me wonder since they have been very tame for a while, lol!

Well most people think we on the left coast are wacko...lol.

I was bit &quot;stressed&quot; when I typed the title :-L as I am so tired of the Fodor's Boards not working properly. I have requested a response from Fodor's regarding this but I am being ignored evidently :(( which I don't understand because in the past when I have sent an email I have received an ackowledgment that they are aware of the problem and that they are working on it etc.

I wish everyone who is having problems with the Boards would send an email to: [email protected].

Maybe if enough of us complain &quot;someone&quot; will pay attention, ya think?

I think talking about it on here might be more successful because everyone else who is coming to fodors for the first time will also see the post, and fodors (if they are smart little marketers) won't want the new people to think the board has these kinds of problems. Just a guess...(don't shoot me, editors)

Where's Kal when you need him? He could work wonders with the title of this post.

is it just me or are we getting flooded with a lot more advertisements lately? they may have always been there, but for some reason this week I seem to be noticing them more. for example, as I type this post, there is a flashing (very distracting) box below the text box that keeps changing text.
