Garrett-
I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at the Venetian. No arrogance, very professional. From the housekeepeing service to the dealers. In particular the front desk staff is fantastic.

An example: My father was terminally ill, and he had always wanted to go to Vegas. So my Christmas gift to him was a trip to Vegas. We stayed at the Venetian. I spoke with someone at the front desk before we arrived and explained to them that I was trying to make this a memorable time for everyone, and asked if there were any upgrades available. They couldn't make any promises, of course. Since we are not VIP, I figured nothing would come of it. Well, when we checked in.....they upgraded all of us. We had a HUGE suite. They called us every day to see what else they could do to help us. They truly went above and beyond in my opinion. To have such a personalized experience in a mammoth hotel is pretty incredible.

Don't worry about anything. You will have a wonderful time.

In addition to the others who have responded, we also received excellent service. When we arrived in our room, I called for additional hangers - they arrived immediately. I had trouble with something working correctly. I called in for a repair and they responded within a few minutes. The staff assisted with reservations without rushing us into making decisions. In addition, the dealers (at the craps tables & the Race/Sports Book windows) are extremely patient, courteous and informative.

We had no trouble at all checking in "early", ie before official check in time on both of our recent stays. Staff was very gracious and made no mention of it not being 3:00pm yet. This was such a contrast to Caesar's, several years ago, who when we inquired told us very curtly to come back at 5:00pm, which was the check-in time back then. (If I had known that when I made my res, I never would have stayed, and in many subsequent trips to Las Vegas, we have never stayed at Caesar's again.)

Yes, and hair dryer, AND separate vanity mirror with great light, shower and tub, enough towels, nice comfy terry robes, and wine glasses (not plastic); they really do it right.

Just got back last night -- yes, health club is $35 for a day pass; $15 if you purchase some kind of service like a massage, etc. The day pass entitles includes all the different classes they have during the day, too. Since I was only there two days, I decided to put on my tennis shoes and power walk the Strip instead! I heard the spa treatments are excellent.

It's a wonderful hotel, and I never detected any snobbery from staff. I forgot my toothbrush and they brought me one within five minutes of a call to housekeeping. Yes, there's an ironing board and iron. If you can't find the blow dryer, it's in the vanity in the bathroom.
Of course there's no in-room coffee maker, which is kind of a drag. Someone said you can call up and request one, but we never got around to that.

Make sure you have your room key with you because they make you show it when you are going to the elevators to get to the guest rooms.

Had a nice lunch at Postrio (great lobster club sandwich) while we watched the street performers. Wanted to check out the hot new restaurant and club, Tao, but ran out of time.

Best bargain -- the oxygen bar at the end of the canal. They massage your back and head, give you an energy drink and aromatherapy while you breate in the "scented" oxygen and listen to the serenades from the gondolas -- just $22 and I felt great afterwards.

No late checkouts, however, you can arrange for them to hold your luggage at the bell stand until you are ready to leave in case you need a few more hours to shop, gamble, etc.

Check out the casino's $1 slots...one of us (not me!) had good luck with them.

Have fun!

We went to the club Tao (up the elevator when you enter Tao) - it was wonderful, highly recommended.
