Venetian ??
Hi,
I made a booked the venetian for 4 nights on nov. 20th, i am really excited.. any reviews or comments about the rooms and hotel ??? thanks. |
The Venetian is gorgeous, in the Vegas over-the-top kind of way! The rooms are very large and comfortable. You'll have a great time. Trip Advisor is always good for hotel reviews.
Have fun! |
it's as issy said...but be prepared for a loooonnnngg walk from your room to the front lobby if you're in the newer wing (the Venezia suites).
Have a great time!! |
We love The Venetian and will be staying there again next month. The rooms are always very quiet too. Have a great time!!!!!
|
Very nice. One of the best in Vegas.
Enjoy. |
Make sure you go early in the day to book you Gondola ride if you want to go in the evening. It is a must. Ask them to sing your favorite Italian song. I had no luck in the casino but the rooms are beautiful.
|
If you like traditional decor in an over the top kind slightly cheesy, Vegas way, (I did) it's wonderful! We stayed on the Concierge level in the Venezia towers, and really enjoyed it, although we got a great rate only about a week after it opened...the concierge level looks really high right now.
One of my favorite hotels! Enjoy! |
I loved the "basic" room, Guggenheim, the casino, and the canal and shops, but my favorite part of the Venetian was the variety of restaurants and the prices (from the usual food court to lovely patio for people watching along the canal and the square). IMO, the pool area is pedestrian (I thought the water was suspect)and closes too early. But that's not an issue in November.
|
It's funny how Bellagio is "supposed" to be the "best" hotel, but it's always getting mixed reviews. But I have yet to read a bad review about Venetian!
|
That's true about the long walk if you're staying in the Venezia towers. In fact, we prefer the basic rooms too.
|
It is really relaxing to have the living room area for sitting and resting between activities!! We keep going back there b/c of that feature.
|
We just returned from a 5 night stay there. I agree with the other posters. It is a gorgeous hotel with beautiful, roomy suites that are well-appointed. We received excellent service. There are many restaurants in which to choose. Reservations are recommended for dinner. The pool area for the Venezia towers is spectacular. There is, indeed, a great deal of walking due to the size of the property; however, it is a treat visually. My only negative comment, which could be said about any Vegas property, is the presence of cigarette smoke. Restaurants where we live long ago banned smoking, so we are not around it at all. Even though we were in a non-smoking room, the minute we stepped into the hall, the smell hit me. Not only the casinos, but the restaurants had many smokers, albeit we were in a "no-smoking" section. By the end of the 5 days, I was really suffering from the unhealthy air. Again, it was no different from any of the other properties and for all I know, you are a smoker! Hope you enjoy your trip. By the way, the Race & Sports Book at the Venetian is spectacular!

Does anyone know if guests have to pay to use the workout facilities in the hotel?
|
Yes, there is a charge to use the work-out facilities which are located in the spa area. Perhaps some packages may include them??
|
At the Flamingo, I remember paying $10 (after a coupon discount), which seem like a lot for the equipment they had. I also enjoy using the sauna and shower area, and I bet the Canyon Ranch facility has a nice one. I'm headed to Vegas (and the Venetian) today, so I will report back with the details. |
Someone in our group said the fitness center was $35 per person. With those prices, I chose not to utilize the facility. I never verified the info, however.
|
I've stayed in 7 Vegas hotels and the Venetian by far was my favorite. You'll have a great time there!
|
When we were there two years ago, I remember the price being $25-30. I thought it was a bit steep, so I didn't utilize the club. The facility is better than most health clubs, and the nicest one I've seen at a hotel. But if you are just going to run on the treadmill and do some weights, I don't think it's worth it.

Hi,
Thanks for the reviews, im so excited, also what is the service and front desk like, are they the "im better than you" employees ?? thanks. |
The employees seem young and friendly, and professional (but don't try to get an upgrade or check in earlier than their time, cause it probably won't happen). I was impressed with the well-trained staff. (BTW, Where have you been that you have been treated badly by the staff? I hope you would talk to a superior--after all, who is the paying guest, and who is the working person serving the paying guest? Take no crap from anyone! [But of course, always remember to say please, thank you, and smile!])
