What are you listening to today? Sicnce Random House has *ahem* "premitted" me to put iTunes on my machine I've been bringing over my library bit by bit.

I really like anything by The Killers lately, but Queen's Greatest Hits is my favorite everyday standby. If you're a child of the 80's, Poison is still great fun (please don't make fun of me!).

I love the Natasha Bedenfield video with the boomboxes following her around. I always see it early in the morning when I'm working out and it is such a nice, wholesome, upbeat way to start the day!

I have about 700 cd's in my collection, but here are some that get the most play:

Be careful what you put out there on the web. Had a co-worker fired for something she put on a personal blog. I don't want to lose you to corporate rules.

Anyway, there are couple of threads out there about songs for a road trip. Recently one by mr.wonderful. I think this would be a good test for you to see how the search function really works on this site.

I have itunes on the personal computer at home, but no ipod yet. I'm amazed how many songs it can hold.

Anyway, I've recently had a Otis Redding craving.

Since my husband scored a couple of tickets to see Paul McCartney tonight, am doing a Beatles, Wings mix. Haven't heard anything from his new CD yet but maybe tonight?? Personally, I hope he plays his old stuff

Peter - No, not a Warrant fan. You didn't happen to see their former lead singer on Celebrity Fit Club on VH-1? Kind of sad (though he seemed better off at the end of the show than he was at the beginning). I guess we all knew those 80's glam metal rockers might not look as good at 40 as they did at 20!!

Thelonious Monk Quartet featuring John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall in 1957. It is a newly "discovered" recording and is actually pretty awesome.

I have rediscovered "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen. There was a time (almost 30 years ago!) when that album was all I listened to.

All of the San Francisco Symphony's recordings of the Mahler Symphonies are also in the menu.
