Travelocity's customer service reps are in India. My husband and I booked a trip through Travelocity and experienced multiple problems.
DH did all of the calling and got really fed up with talking to people in India. |
Nope... they are not.
I have 4 friends who left Carlson Wagonlit in Dallas to go to the Travelocity call center near DFW. |
Yikes, just think of the people who didn't even NOTICE that their confirmation was wrong. Ooops.

I spent an hour on the phone with Travelocity when I paid for one hotel (Hampton Inn) and when I arrived at the address it was what used to be the hotel, but was now a run-down motel. I was able to get Travelocity to pay the difference btwn what I paid them and what the hotel I was supposed to get actually cost. The hotel told me that many people had the same problem, but just stayed at the run down motel. Never do that.

And another happy ending! I emailed a friend who has a friend on the "Whad'Ya Know?" staff and I have a ticket.
To top it off, I am taking advantage of the free museum day (see thread at http://fodors.com/forums/threadselec...p;tid=34875989 ) and will visit the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc that afternoon for free. It is usually $12! Keith |
