Travelocity error
Earlier this morning, I purchased a last minute flight and rental car special for this weekend from Travelocity. The problem is that the email confirmation is for a 9AM return flight, not a 9:45PM.
I saved the page when I ordered on my computer, so I know it wasn't an error on my end. So far I have been on hold at Travelocity for about 20 minutes. Wish me luck. And patience. Keith |
good luck and have patience!
|
Good luck! Let us know what happens. Be patient(easy to say)!
|
Take a deep breath. I hope they can help you. Let us know what happens.
|
I got a person (somewhere in India), not I am holding while she pulls up my reservation.
They need different on hold music. Keith |
Are you still waiting???
|
Back on hold again. No acknowledgement of the error, but the lady is checking the availability on the flight I was supposed to have.
Yes, over a half hour now. Keith |
Hang in there and stand your ground.
You have an email confirmation. |
But the confirmation is wrong.
I'm holding for the 4th time. The lady just checked back to ask a couple of questions that I had already answered. Thanks for letting me vent here! Keith |
Wishing you luck! Keep us updated.
|
I now have an email confirmation with the correct flights.
It took over 50 minutes on the phone. Guess I didn't need to have lunch today:-) Thanks for your support! Keith |
Thanks for the live "blog" - I couldn't wait to see how it turned out! (Glad it worked out).
|
Glad it all worked out!
|
Keith, I'm so glad you ended up with a walid woucher for your trip!
So, where are you going? |
Valla Valla?
Wegas? |
You have the correct consonant - Wisconsin
Though in the time it took to confirm my flights, the radio show "Whad'Ya Know?" that was part of the reason for the trip, sold out. Keith |
Oh, too bad. Still, there's lots to do in Madison on the weekends.
My son graduated from the University in May and I miss going there. There are so many good restaurants. Unfortunately, we're supposed to be rather cool this weekend. |
Turns out that Travelocity had a general problem today. This came in email tonight:
A recent issue with our Web site may have affected your Last Minute Deals travel package Milwaukee, WI: Fly & Drive -- Schle-miel! Schle-mazel! Brew City Incorporated! on 9/26/2006. To avoid potential complications, please check your confirmation email to ensure that the flights in reservation ####### are correct. **If the flights we booked are different from what you chose, please call our toll-free Customer Service hotline immediately at 1-866-474-8359 to have this discrepancy resolved.** |
Sorry to burst your bubble, Keith, but ALL of the Travelocity support for US point of sale customers are in TEXAS.
|
TxTravelPro, in that case they hired that poor woman right off the plane to the US.
I don't know how many times I had to ask her to repeat what she said, because of her accent. And no, I don't mean a Texas accent:-) Keith |
Travelocity's customer service reps are in India. My husband and I booked a trip through Travelocity and experienced multiple problems.
DH did all of the calling and got really fed up with talking to people in India. |
Nope... they are not.
I have 4 friends who left Carlson Wagonlit in Dallas to go to the Travelocity call center near DFW. |
Yikes, just think of the people who didn't even NOTICE that their confirmation was wrong. Ooops.
|
I spent an hour on the phone with Travelocity when I paid for one hotel (Hampton Inn) and when I arrived at the address it was what used to be the hotel, but was now a run-down motel. I was able to get Travelocity to pay the difference btwn what I paid them and what the hotel I was supposed to get actually cost. The hotel told me that many people had the same problem, but just stayed at the run down motel. Never do that.
|
And another happy ending! I emailed a friend who has a friend on the "Whad'Ya Know?" staff and I have a ticket.
To top it off, I am taking advantage of the free museum day (see thread at http://fodors.com/forums/threadselec...p;tid=34875989 ) and will visit the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc that afternoon for free. It is usually $12! Keith |
