WHATS THE BEST WAY TO GET FROM THE SF AIRPORT TO OUR HOTEL NEAR UNION SQUARE? WE REALLY DO NOT WANT A CAR IN THE CITY, BUT THOUGHT WE WOULD RENT ONE AS WE DRIVE OUT OF TOWN ON TO WINE COUNTRY.

Try the website for SFO. There are trains that run to downtown SF.

How "near" Union square are you? If it's Nob hill, was it you who posted "Knob hill" question? that area is far from BART and may be up a steep hill.

Take BART to Powell and you will be within walking distance of your hotel.
