thanks, the museum in strasburg, PA is it posible to get a trip in one of the old trains? or in Steamville in Stanton, PA

Strasburg definitely has rides on the train. I am not sure about Steamtown (Scranton). Scranton is a much better museum, though, & since it is a National Park Service site, you could try www.nps.gov for info.

The best collection I have seen is in Baltimore, Maryland at the B&O Musuem.:S-
Here is a link to an unofficial website: http://www.steamlocomotive.com/bomuseum/ Also if you receive satellite TV (e.g. Dish Network) there is a channel "RFD TV"((Y))((Y)) which on Saturday at 9AM shows videos of steam engines and railroads in operation and discusses exhibits and rides and is quite informative, though sometimes monotonous. |
According to this link:http://www.nps.gov/stea/bigboy.htm
a big boy is on display in steamtown. |
The roof collapsed under weight of snow last winter at the Baltimore B&O museum. Is is closed until further notice. ( http://www.borail.org/ )
