We love to dine on our lanai at sunset so this is a no brainer for us. We always get upgraded to an oceanview from a garden view so that's not really an issue for us. If you don't ask, you don't get, so ask for that upgrade and you will most likely get it. Spend money at the hotel and be friendly to the staff. We would do this anyway because we friendly to begin with but these things matter to a hotel. Granted when you first check in they don't know you from Adam, but you get more with sugar than you do with vinegar.
