If you're from Singapore, you're likely not used to the chilly weather you're likely to experience in October. On my last trip to Singapore, it was something like 95 degrees farenheit and 100% humidity.

I've done the unheated tent cabin in Curry Village, and they are rather rustic. It's really just a tent with a camp bed. I'd go heated if you can, or ask for extra blankets, if you can't. The tents are rather close together, so earplugs are recommended.

You can get around the park to the major sights via the shuttle service, so a car is not necessary. I'm pretty sure there's a bus to Glacier Point, which should still be open, but I don't know if it stops at Valley View. These are two viewpoints one shouldn't miss.

My family did the drive when I was like 10 years old (so about 15 years ago) I just remember stopping at random places along the way. Its not that long of a drive, and totally worth it once you get to Yosemite!

We camped for about a week and a half in July staying right in Yosemite Valley. With about 20 friends and family we took advantage of hiking up every trail and waterfall we could! Its a beautiful place!

Many Thanks for the advices!
Sounds like my hubby and I may freeze at night. Oh dear, all other lodging within the park is full. Any suggestion where's the next best place?

I'm now comtemplating evergreen lodge. It's about 40mins drive from yosemite valley. :(

Keep trying for valley floor lodging. There may be cancellations. Where are you going after Yosemite? I don't know Evergreen, but the location would probably OK if you couldn't get in the Yosemite Valley.

Others may have better ideas.
