I am glad I had the foresight to book a month in Tucson.

Ackislander, son and family from Medford spending this frigid week at a Williamsburg family time share. Enjoying the pool but may not tour Colonial W'burg after all.

I'm in Western NY, and we're supposed to get wind chills as cold as -40 tonight. I have two little guys (1 & 3) who have barely left the house for weeks because it's been SO cold. We looked at escaping south for a few days and couldn't get over how cold it was up and down the entire eastern seaboard. Stay warm everyone!

Bill, it's chill.

19 at the moment, 2 this morning when I got up.

France has ice, snow, wind and flood warnings, the UK has Supertide road closures.

Oh my, 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday night snowing again in Boston and may be icy in the morning. Son and family stuck in Maryland trying to get back but stopped after facing whiteout. Up the coast and inland how bad is it?

We are in Baltimore. Amazing amount of very fluffy snow today. DD lives near us and had to abandoned her car this afternoon, stuck at the bottom of a hill. Hope your Son and family have a good place to stay and just hang tight for the night. They are getting roads plowed now and it will be in the 40s tomorrow and they can be on their way.

"France has ice, snow, wind and flood warnings, the UK has Supertide road closures."

Come to Basel! Or to Freiburg, Germany. We have fairly mild winters with plenty of sunny days. The occasional light snow (just a couple of inches from two snowfalls so far this season; both were gone within a few days) and rain off and on, but the weather is almost never bone-chilling in winter or boiling in summer. Yet we're an easy and scenic train ride from the snowy Alps if you like the white stuff or winter sports.

I prefer a heavier winter so the weather around here is kind of boring to me.

Weather Advisory

Just heard on the news that the state of Florida could be sunned-in for the next several days. Residents have been urged to hunker down at your nearest beach and/or tiki bar for further instructions. Use extreme caution when braving this blizzard of sunshine, preferably SPF 30. We are asking our friends and relatives to the north to please keep us in their thoughts as we deal with two feet buried in the sand!!!
