Texas restaurants

We live in Houston, and our daughter lives in Austin. Any suggestions for great restaurants where we can meet in the middle?

Bryan/College Station is an easy location to meet between Austin and Houston. Since it is a college town (home of Texas A&M), they have TONS of chain restaurants, and even a few local places. Just be sure it is not a home football game weekend when you meet in the fall!

Brenham is about halfway. Downtown arond the courthouse square there are some small resturants. Sorry don't know there names but maybe a search will turn them up.

My grandmother and I used to meet in Brenham for lunch. It was so long ago I can't tell you the names of the restaurants anymore, but Brenham is a charming little town, and best of all, it's the home of Blue Bell ice cream. :-)

Another option would be to meet in LaGrange, but I prefer Brenham.

Carol's in Cat Spring has had favorable reviews, although I have not personally dined there.
