EWWWW, I gotta agree with the 4 inch nails, the worst it was a waitress and the nails were blue. In our town this is common place, giving them change confuses them, they aren't sure how to 'mash' it into the computerized cashregister buttons. If the total was 3.12 and I give em a $5, I would get back 8 pennies, 8 dimes and 2 dollar bills which I would have to argue that that was incorrect (one dollar only), she would have to call the manager to make sure her drawer wasn't over. My point...dumb is tacky.

The words 'thingy' and 'borrowy' drive me nuts. So...no, you cannot borrowy my thingy. UGH.

Kissing the dog on the lips is tacky too.

Arkansas - I definitely agree with you there. I cannot stand it when people let their dogns "kiss" them on the lips.

Diana Aug 25th, 2003 02:59 PM

We have horses and dogs.
I know where those dog lips have been and would never let them come anywhere near mine! :)

Pup is such a gentleman, he never even tries to kiss people on the lips ((&)) But as for kissing, I am getting tired of the way people all want to kiss me when they meet me! What ever happened to handshakes??

cigalechanta Aug 25th, 2003 04:25 PM

I kiss my dog on the lips. I know where He has been on my leash but some humans, I have no idea where , with whom.

ArkansasNurse...isn't that word "borry"? LOL I've heard it used alot in my DH's hometown.

Scarlett Aug 25th, 2003 06:57 PM

Olive Oyl,
Yes, ((&)) will expect a kiss from his Aunt Olive :)
I have seen the hairdresser kissing thing going on around here too..I still forget how many on each cheek! French people do it twice, Canadians do it twice -Here, you never know!! and then there are the hugging while kissing people!
Makes my poor head spin! Where is Pup, he likes lots of kisses :)

Taking a cellphone call WHILE I'm doing your PAP smear. And telling the caller what you're doing. Just tacky.

8/24/03 Catholic Mass, 7:30 a.m. A 30ish woman was wearing a black cocktail-type dress -- quite short, with a slightly longer, sheer black, swing-y outer layer of skirt. My jaw fell when she turned around I realized she was pregnant. Tacky for several reasons. (And she seemed to be stumbling with the high-heeled black mules.)

elizabeth reed,
1-she could have just come from an all night party
2-maybe that is all she had to wear.

I am thinking that the amusing TACKY idea has gone to a Less amusing Judgemental tone here.

... lol, I'll give you tacky. Plan a party and forget to issue invitations. Last minute plane tixs are priced tackily (wooo, that cannot be a word!)

... Oooops, maybe they were mailed out and ... hmmmmm. I suppose inviting oneself to a party is an alltime tacky.
