I personally think that Super 8's are a big notch above Motel 6's. After several horrendous experiences with Motel 6, I swear I will never stay at one again. On the other hand, Super 8's have been very consistent for me. They provide an incredible value, but MOST importantly, they have ALWAYS been clean. When I don't care about ameneties, it's Super 8 for me. (They always have free coffee morning which is all I really need anyway!)

Agree with Hansel. We have stayed at Super 8's and have had no complaints (tho I'd prefer to always have the wallet to stay a notch above that - they're VERY basic). On the other hand, we absolutely will NEVER stop at a Motel 6, having had two experiences where the bed linens were so wrinkled and threadbare you couldn't be sure they had actually been changed. Yuck!

Thats nice Hansel and your shadow.

Connie, to answer your question, yes certainly Holiday Inns and Best Westerns are nicer than super 8. Most super 8's are glorified truck stops. Great if you're a trucker, but not so great if youre not.
