I remember that heat wave too - I think it was in September. Temperatures that high are damn hot for SF. A couple years ago we went to a reggae festival in GG Park in October during a heat wave. People were actually wearing shorts!

J_Correa, you should have specified that it was "natives" who were wearing shorts, since the tourists do so all the time (to their regret). :-)

When we lived in the Berkeley area, summer came in September and October.

Doubtful you will need air conditioning. Frankly, if we ever do get a heat wave it is followed within two to three days of that wave by fog. June is still an unlikely time for such a true heat wave here.
