I am devastated. The Inn at the Harbor Steps was one of my best hotel finds anywhere. I have stayed several times, I am sure I learned about it from this site.

It doesn't count as <I>hijacking</I> somebody's thread when the thread is outdated and no longer garnering information truly useful to the O.P.

My first interaction/reference in relation to the Trolley was in direct response <b>to the OP</b>, and <I>Chucktown Dobbs</I> hasn't yet seen fit to offer same.


So beyond that, here are a couple of more <I>data harvests</I> from the Emerald City Trolley:

The thing <I>definitely does have its moments</I>, and if I were on it, I might like the <I>less-than-jam-packed</I> element which may afford the chance to <b>ask questions</b> of the tour guide.

Plus, I will admit that the trolley makes for a good way for the thousands of people who arrive on cruise ships each week, to get a tour of the downtown area. And when <b>time</b> is more precious than even $50... there is something to be said for making the sacrifice.

Happy to report that the Emerald City Trolley finally came to its senses a little bit, and reduced the $49.28 two-day pass down to $38.33.

A single-day pass can be had for $20 ($21.90 incl. tax) ... and <b>that suits the cruise ship people just fine</b>.

I'm mostly content, in that they reduced a good chunk of the <b>overpricing</b>, and the $20 for one day opportunity is very suitable to the cruise ship people.

I guess it is easier to start high and cut prices than to do the opposite, but still... <I>some amount of realism from the start would have been sensible</I>.
