That's for the heads-up Debit! I am using a free SW ticket - but don't want to get blocked.

NOON Central Time today! Good luck everyone~

I am interested in the Sage Inn promo rate if you can get it. I checked the website and Sage Inn regular rate is $122 for all the nights of the GTG, so the promo rate you mention, Deb, is a good one.

I LOVE Sage Inn. Nice people, nice rooms, good location (across the street from La Choza, and close to the rest of the railraod area, and abt a mile walk from the Plaza), shuttle to the Plaza, great free bfast, two free computers in lobby w/a printer (and free internet in the rms). I have become friends w/the breakfast lady and get a big hug from her every time I see her. My husband and I are staying there next week for $55 a night (booked months ago) ! that might be the best hotel bargain I have ever gotten.

I am anxious to see what the SWA rates from BWI to ABQ are when they open at noon today....

TY for clarifying that, DebitNM. I've been checking every hour. Even when I got up at 1:30AM. Now, I can quit wasting time. TY again.

AA has better rates from Boston... I'd love to go back to Santa Fe this September.

emd.. I saw on another thread that you were looking for a route from Tent Rocks to Bandelier. There is a 4x4 accessible dirt track between the two.

DebitNM Mar 23rd, 2010 04:00 PM

emd3 I have not gotten enough interest in getting that rate, sorry.

sassy - FWIW,you cannot take most "regular" rental company [avis, dollar, hertz etc] vehicles [EVEN 4WD] on dirt track routes; it violates the contract. You would have to rent from a off road rental place.

Thanks Deb, that's good to know.. I didn't! I must admit my DH is always in charge of car rental but I'm not sure if he was aware of that.

I know he's say 'well what's the point of having a 4x4 then!'

It's ok, Deb- I have a New Mexico Enchantment card. it entitles me to 15% off at Sage Inn, so if the rate is $120, I can get it for $102...

Everyone who goes to NM should get the free Enchantment card. Google it. Great discounts on dining, spa/massages, etc. I am getting 20% off of food at Scaalo's on Central Ave for lunch next wk just by having that card.

Also, check 999dine.com for good discounts on dining in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. I just bought a discount coupon to get $20 of food for $10 at La Choza in Santa Fe, other good discounts also.

And one last thing- if in Albuquerque, go to alibi.com and click on "Alibi Bucks" on left column. Good restaurant and other discounts available there too, although some of the better places like Zinc's and Seasons are sold out.

emd- are you from NM??

Groupons.com has some great deals for ABQ too.

Grcxx3 Mar 23rd, 2010 06:34 PM

Flights are BOOKED!!!!!!!!! :)

emd3 Mar 23rd, 2010 06:49 PM

hahaha, no Deb, I just love NM and I love finding a good bargain, esp. travel-related ones!

I bought the Albuquerque Groupon today for O'Neill's Irish pub, will use that at the end of our trip next wk!

DebitNM Mar 23rd, 2010 07:03 PM

I bought 2 of them! LOL

Next Tues sounds good...email me.
