Faina, I am sure they do not put mussel's on every plate. However they are known for their mussels. Since that is what I always order as I love mussels and they have quite a selection of dishes I have never really checked out the nonmussel dishes. If you eat salmon and they have salmon on their menu than Plouf's sounds like a good restaurant for you.

Mussels are Plouf's specialty but they have other seafood, meats and poultry. My fav is the fish and chips, fish includes cod, salmon, etc. and a big prawn, chips are the thinnest crispiest pomme frites this side of the Atlantic.
On warm days the outdoor tables quickly fill up. Waiters wear french style horizontally stripped shirts and navy blue pants, not well trained but the accent helps one to overlook the level of service. |
I don't like mussels, but based on Shanghainese's description, I'll take two waiters to go.

Tsk, tsk, Nina, what if they look like the hunchback of Notre Dame? LOL

Shanghai- How did the GTG turn out?
Sorry I had to back out per my original post. My mom has been in and out of the hospital for the past few weeks, and I've had other relatives visiting as well because of my mom. |
It didn't turn out :) It was postponed.
|
trippinkpj: Hope your mom gets well soon!
|
Postponed until when? Any date set . . . .
|
Janis, set a date! Many of us are here.
|
Thanks Shanhai.

Sorry I missed you, but had no internet in time to connect, but maybe next time. (DD LOVED SF and plans to go to Law School there, so I'll be visiting often! Yippee!!! Love it--we had a ball!)
|
Glad you had a great time, artlover, we'll try to GTG next time when you're in SF!
