If Market Street was pointing at you, it was Twin Peaks. We lived just below Twin Peaks in the Noe Valley. In the summer, there was almost always fog on Twin Peaks, but sunny in the Noe Valley.

No one has mentioned Alkatraz? We took a 6:10 boat for the tour and it was eerie at night. Just dress warm and make reservations ASAP.

Thanks again, Stu. S.F. is such a great city. I'm glad I have lots of reason to visit there.

I've never been interested in Alcatraz. So many other things to do in northern Cal, it just doesn't appeal to us to visit a deserted prison.

Since the OP has a car, maybe she will have some time to visit the beautiful forests and beaches near S.F.

Yes cindyj, I did post here about Alcatraz and gave newlyweds the official website. But the last ferry leaves for Alcatraz at 4:30pm so her husband may not be able to make it by that time since he will be working during the day.
