Talked to them tonight. They were a little down but thinking of moving everything back to Fall -- DS will be sweating "quals" this semester and he's begun to figure out that he'd have had a very tough time doing that and dealing with wedding stuff. I at least have fair warning to try to deflect being housed all together.

Stay tuned, good friends. More to come, probably after quite a while. Which is FINE. Have two other much more tricky hassles in my life just now. Glad the "kids" are rolling with it, even though very disappointed.

As for their deposit, any chance they paid for it with a credit card? If so, they should be in a good position to get the charge reversed (esp. if it's AE) since they paid for a service that cannot be performed.
