We're doing it! Anyone in Sacramento or visiting, feel free to join us! Still in the process of time and place. But if interested, speak up!

i might be interested..i'm a CPA so kind of busy right now but if i can make it i will!

I might be available. But if I go, Kal may have a stroke since I've never done a GTG before. ;)

Kal talked about a newer place called Pizza Rock -- sounds yummy! Otherwise, Zocalo was another suggestion.

So is it Pizza Rock? What time? Do we wear a flower or a fedora or something orange to distinguish ourselves as fodorites? I didn't get a pin years ago. ;)

Pizza Rock sounds good - and if it is too crowded or there are other "issues" there are several other good options w/i walking distance.

We could go the 'wear orange' route but then we might look like Hare krishnas or a (very small) cult or something. Though I do own a lot of orange so I might anyway.

We may get there a little earlier and stake it out.

I am available after 4:00 if you need an extra seat saver. Might mean that by 6:00 I won't be worth a dang - conversation wise, that is... ;)

We can also drop by earlier if you'd like some more seat savers.

It can get really crowded!

Mrs K gets off work t 4:30 so we will prob get there 5:15.
Shout at me if you are there when I trip on the door jamb.

I'm hoping we can hit a "tweener" time...'tween after work people and the hip dinner people.

Depending how far it is from our hotel, we'll try and get there early as well. Just means we'll have to imbibe a little more. :D That will not be too painful a chore.

We will try to get there by about 5P, also.

I'll be standing at the Riverside entrance, Kal, like the lady in Antioch I'll just grab onto the hood as you drive by and hang on. Cheaper than taking 2 cars. ;)

Looks like the 6PM GTG has morphed into a de facto 5PM GTG.

I probably can't get there til 5:30 (but I'll try to get there earlier to hold seats too - If everyone is there around 5-ish to hold seats -- who are we holding seats for :) )

I will hold "virtual" seats, if that will help.

so how was it? for those that couldn't make it :(

It was great! There were 8 of us.

Mr & Mrs. BarbAnn, Mr & Mrs Surfergirl, Mr & Mrs Kal, janisj & me.

This was my first ever GTG and it was wonderful. Fodorites certainly are lovely people.

Good recommendation by Kal on Pizza Rock. They even have a prep person run around the tables throwing pizza dough in the air -- or did I have one drink too many and just imagined this! Wait! I took photos!

Suzie is no longer a GTG virgin -- go Suzie!

You were all great.

BTW, the new Dive Bar (yes, that's the name) next door was likewise fabulous!

Oh, and while I'm sitting here in my meeting today, my husband took the free shuttle bus to Cal Expo for the Beerfest! Now, that's his kind of adventure!
