Parking in downtown Asheville is usually not a problem since there are a number of public parking garage decks. However during the Southern Highlands Craft show you may need to seek out the decks further from the civic center. About 5 or 6 blocks away, near Pack Square, you should be able to find parking. The Aloft Hotel has a parking deck that is convenient. (I think someone mention the Aloft earlier. Not my favorite hotel, but good parking.) There are some surface lots in the River Arts district and usually you can find on street parking near the galleries and studios. You will also find some of the best restaurants in RAD, as well as, in the nearby West Asheville neighborhood. There are lots of VRBO options in Asheville, but some may not be walkable to downtown. The downtown area also has a lot of apartment/condo rentals, but many will have minimum stays for that time of year. Here are a couple of web sites:
