Hi andrew8 - I will get a copy, thanks. Monday is the day to make my reservation at Cyrus - wish me luck. Someone who lives in the area told me Madrona Manor should be my 2nd choice. Have you dined there?

andrew8 Aug 9th, 2008 01:54 PM

No CP, I haven't been there.

Good luck with your Danko reservations on Monday. Were going the day after you on Friday.

Centralparkgirl Aug 9th, 2008 01:57 PM

Cyrus is first for us. We're doing Napa then SF. We'll be in SF 10/15 - 10/19 and go to Danko on one of those nights.

Sorry for the misread CP. I'm having a hard time with this new treatment.

We have SF for 1 night on Oct. 6th, then Big Sur for 3 nights, then back to SF for 1 night on the 10th.

No problem andrew8 - I wish you felt better! Your vacation will be wonderful! We are arriving SFO late on the 10th - we'll wave to you!

Hi CP---we have eaten at Madrona Manor 2X and Cyrus once. Both are wonderful and you cannot go wrong with either. I would say that if Cyrus is your first choice that MM is a superb second choice!

Have you considered Dry Creek Kitchen? We really enjoyed a meal there. During that trip we also ate at Willis and Charcuterie.

Centralparkgirl Aug 9th, 2008 07:25 PM

Thank you both above. I've heard good things about Dry Creek Kitchen. Cyrus is first choice and I start hitting the phones on Monday with continuing tries for the next ten days. So many great choices - too few meals!

Update: got a reservation at Cyrus for our first night in Wine Country! I did my usual which is using two phones with two different lines and keep hitting redial. It only took ten minutes, but I still didn't get my first choice of reservation time - but I am happy!

Congrats CP on getting your Cyrus reservation.

Centralparkgirl and Andrew8:
I used opentable.com today and got my reservation for 4 for 8 pm @ Cyrus for October 23, a Thursday night. No phones, no mess, 5 minutes on the computer!

cpg have a great meal, I know we will!

andrew8 Aug 25th, 2008 09:52 AM

That's great news DinPa !!

Centralparkgirl Aug 25th, 2008 01:05 PM

DP - glad it worked out for you. My reservation is for a Sat night, so it's tougher. I was told by the restaurant that OT only takes 60 days ahead while the restaurant takes two months to the exact day. So if there are more than 30 days to the month, you can do it earlier by phone. But who cares - we're all in! Enjoy your dinner!

Opentable is a fantastic way to make reservations and you acquire dining points. Our meal at Cyrus was last March, we have dined there twice now. We each had 3 courses, and also tried the Caviar which was wonderful. I hope you both enjoy your meals there as much as we did! :) ***kim*** ((f))
