FYI, jUst an update on the red tide situation. When we were out on the boat yesaterday, we anchored off of Sanibel's lighthouse beach. We went on shore and the the beach was covered with seaweed and dead fish...it was very stinky and unpleasant! We then anchored off of FT Myers Beach and it was much cleaner. The recent flooding problem from the the big "O" (Okeechobee) water releases have really done a number on the local beaches. When they stop releasing water from the "O", maybe things will clear up! You just need to rather flexible with your plans IMO. Judy :-)
