Topping for J.Swansburg
|
Have to third or forth Lucia's
Also a place called Calamari Cafe on Hanover St., near the Market
|
I second Massimino's -- the Osso Bucco is out of this world. Lucia's is a favorite as well, but I also like Francesca's for relaxed, good food and the best canoli's. Mama Maria's is an excellent choice for something a little more special. Ask for a table upstairs overlooking the garden.

Just found this question. Why oh Why didn't any of you mention Francesca's. We used to live in Portsmouth, NH and whenever we wanted good authentic Italian food would go to Francesca's in the North End. Has it gone out of business??
|
If you like seafood, I would recommend the Daily Catch; very small, very reasonable, great food. It is located on Hanover Street.

I definitely will be checking out Lucia's on my next visit into the city.

Howell,
I think if you read Laura's post above yours, you'll see she mentions Francesca's, so it must be still in business.
Thanks Laura and Janet,too.
I do love seafood.
It seems as if we will have to domany trips to Boston , just to try all these places out!
