Pre theater dining

Any suggestions for a good restaurant prior to an evening on Broadway performance?

Since there are hundreds of restaurants to choose from within a reasonable district to the theaters, answer a couple questions:
How much do you want to spend?
What type(s) of food do you prefer?

My husband and I have two favorites (if you like Italian food): Fresco by Scotto, 52nd bet. Madison and Park or Orso, 46th St. off 8th Ave. Both are very accomodating if you tell them you are going to the theater.

There are restaurants up and down theater row, 46th street. One of my favorites for ethnic cusine is Lofti's.
