You are right, Sarah. That article only covered the mainstream activities in Hawaii that appeal to the largest group of visitors. I think the Byodo-In is a hidden gem that few people find, but then not everyone would appreciate the serenity of it.

I am wondering if you made it to the Honolulu Festival yesterday.<BR><BR>Went to that festival 6-8 years ago and still have many incredible memories of it.<BR><BR>For those of you that don't know this is a festival where a a number of cultural organizations in Japan get together with Hawaiian Cultural organizations and they show case Japanese culture. The Japanese shaped much of Hawaiian business as well as pop so this is significant to Hawaii's social history in the way that many European cultures are to the mainland. Anyway have you been helen?
