am trying to get really organized and make a list of the Metro Boston/Cambridge areas with their attractions and places to eat. (By the way, I consider places to eat as an attraction in itself and would gladly plan activities around a restaurant ... I can't be the only one! I am a TRUE Chowhound. LOL!!)

O didn't think I misunderstood you :)

cigalechanta,

I owe you an apology. Yes, you recommended City Search to me too ... I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME! I didn't see it :">

I guess my eyes just went to all those great eateries you mentioned. #-O

Am I forgiven? [-o<

(I am having too much fun with these emoticons!!)

Wallace et al: I HIGHLY recommend getting yourself Microsoft Streets & Trips 2005. Well worth the cost. While you can do much online for "free", with this (and I cannot imagine planning a trip anywhere or a road trip without it), you can customize and save your trips - the features are too numerous to explain.

Best - you can continue to add to your saved trips for future visits. You cannot imagine what a resource my NYC file has become over the years! A few years ago, I got the European version. Again, I cannot imagine planning any trip without it.

Believe me, I am NO fan of Microsoft software in general, but this one is magnificent.

If you are really worn out, you should know that both museums - MFA and the Gardener, have great places to eat. Gardener has a well-respected cafe, but it is VERY small and sometimes too busy, and the MFA has 3 restaurants, one a cafeteria style with decent food, one more of a cafe, and then a 3rd fancier one. Have fun!
