Place nicknames

I think this been done before but anyone have any fun nicknames for where you live or places you like to visit? Let's not get too nasty, just a little mid-week humor.

I live in Milwaukee - the Brew City -Appropriately nicknamed as I can smell the beer being brewed in the Miller Valley on my daily commute. (Actually, I think it's the hops and/or barley being roasted.)

Indianapolis = Naptown.

Though this is from my youth 30 years ago and seems to be fading in usage. Maybe because Indy isn't such a sleepy, little town anymore.

El Segundo CA: "Where the Sewer Meets the Sea" (the Hyperion water treatment plant is nearby)-- rather mean name for a sweet li'l bedroom community

Long Beach CA: "Iowa by the Sea" (a huge number of Iowans have settled there since WWII)-- makes it sound rather bucolic (and for the record, LB is actually a good place to live, IF you know where to settle)

I don't know about a nickname for the town, outside of Beantown, but people from Massachusetts are often nicknamed Massholes.
