oh my, starting to really lose my patience here with the wrong advice given to Archigram. Unless you actually know what you're talking about, please don't mess people up!!!
Archigram -- please trust me on this. There are 2 shuttles from gate F10 that go to either Terminal A or Terminal C (the A line is on the left, the C line is on the right). The wait is no more than 10 minutes, and the ride no more than 5. You DO NOT leave security to take the bus -- the bus is on the tarmac, not on the outside ground transportation. Just a note -- the Terminal A shuttle is relatively new, so it is not on airport maps yet.
When you are about to land and the flight attendant comes on to announce connecting flights, they will also tell you to go to gate F10 for transfers to Terminal A/C.
For people who are unfamiliar with Philly, I know this sounds confusing. Most airports have 1-2 main security lines, then you pick your terminal (i.e. Pittsburgh, Rochester, Cleveland). Philly has a security line for each terminal, however many of them are connected once inside. Since Terminal F is not connected, they offer a free shuttle to their other gates since Philly is such a major hub. I believe the only one that is stand alone is Terminal E (I never go thru D, so I can't comment).
