We had a lovely dinner at the French restaurant. The waiters spoke English, so we did not have to worry about ordering in French. It seems like nothing I worry about turns out to be a problem! You think I would learn.

I had "Sauteed veal tenderloin medallions with shitake mushrooms and shallot demi-glaze, garnished with julienne ham and Bretagne Gruyere crepe." Exquisite! Also had a great salad with blood oranges, and lots of Sauvignon Blanc from Rodney Strong. My husband had the Kobe steak and thought it was outstanding.

I was looking forward to dessert, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, we all agreed to skip dessert and call it a night. Just as well, I suppose, since we were stuffed.

Ya'll are great! Have a happy New Year.

Vicki

I always got lovely treatment in France doing the following:
<Smile> Bonjour Monsier - May I speak English? They always say Yes
Americans really need to practice good manners ;}
